Recording Equipment

When you think of recording equipment, different devices might come to mind depending on your age, your experience and your needs. Long ago recording equipment was only in use by companies in the recording industry, or the government and military. As far back as twenty years ago it was common to see children bringing their own personal recording devices to school to tape classes or share favorite tunes on tape decks/tape recorders. Today the same and more can be accomplished using digital recorders smaller than a pencil.

Types of Recorders

There are still many types of recording equipment in use today, from cassette recorders to minidisk to digital audio tape and more. One of the major defining factors in recorders is whether the record is in digital or analogue format.
